Super Thin 1.61 Index Lenses

Super Thin 1.6 index lenses can enhance the appearance by up to 20% in comparison with 1.50 index lenses and are ideal for full rim or semi-rimless frames.

Recommended for:
- For prescriptions with Sphere values around +/- 4.00
- Semi-rimless glasses

How thin is this lens?
This lens is up to 20% thinner than a standard 1.50 index lens.

 

● Advanges:

 

1). Superb Quality: 1.61 lenses have higher impact resistance.

The material of MR-8 is imported from Korea, has superior performance. It can meet FDA standard, pass the falling spere test, have higher resistance to scratches and impact

 

2). Thickness: 1.61 lenses are about 29% thinner than the normal middle index lens.

High index lenses are much thinner due to their ability to bend light. As they bend light more than an ordinary lens they can be made much thinner but offer the same prescription power.

 

3). Weight: 1.61 lenses are about 24% lighter than 1.56 index lenses.

As they can be made thinner, they contain less lens material and are therefore much lighter than ordinary lenses.
