Product Features
Photochromic Molecules Continuously Adjust To Light
When transition lenses are exposed to UV light, trilions of photochromic molecules in the lens begin to change structure. This reaction is what causes the lenses to darken.
This exclusive, patented formulation consists of unique dyes that are integrated into the surface of the lens. The dyes are made up of molecules that constantly and smoothly recalibrate as the light around you changes. They darken and lighten to just the right degree so the optimal amount of light reaches your eyes. |
Photochromic technology was designed to be even more reactive to indirect light. Indirect light can come from many sources such as light bouncing off buildings, cars, or other surfaces or light filtering through trees or clouds. The lenses can sense this light, even when you’re facing away from it, and adjust to the appropriate shade for your situation. |
Temperature influences the molecules in photochromic lenses; they don’t get as dark in hot climates as they would in colder weather because of how heat interacts with the molecules. The molecules in Photochromic technology were structured to be more independent of temperature, which means they get darker in hotter climates. |
In other photochromic lenses, wearers have noticed color variations as the lenses tint and react to different types of light. The dyes in Transitions lenses and in Photochromic technology work together to provide an even color at all levels of tint, in both gray and brown options. |
Coating Choice
AR Coating
It also can be named as hard multi coated, that means coating an anti-reflective film on the hard coating lens, can protect the lens effectively from reflection and glare, enhance functional and charity of your vision |
Hard Coating
It also can be named as anti-scratch coating, the function of this coating is to protect the surface of the lenses from impact and scratch reisitance. |
